Job Description Summary
JOB PURPOSE
Based on the activities assigned by his/her hierarchy, the application engineer advises, trainsand supports internal and external stakeholders in the choice and use of products.
SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES
- Advise and propose a solution based on customer requests (demonstration, etc.), supporting sales teams
- Support, advise and train internal and external stakeholders (customers, in-house teams, etc.) in the use of products (manufacturer recommendations, safety standards, maintenance, functionalities, etc.)
- Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders (customers, sales teams, technical teams, etc.)
- Monitor the development and testing of new products and draft technical documentation
- Maintain a technical and competitive watch to identify new opportunities (technologies, service providers, markets, customers, etc.)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE FOR ACTION
- Contribute to the development of sales and offers within its scope
- Contribute to the achievement of sales objectives within its scope
- Guaranteeing the quality and conformity of support and training courses
- Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders
- Know and apply internal and external compliance rules and procedures
- Know and strictly apply health and safety rules (personal protective equipment, procedures, operating modes, authorizations, etc.)
PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE DIPLOMA(S) AND/OR EXPERIENCE(S)
5 years' higher education in engineering and/or significant experience preferred
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE(S)
- General engineering knowledge (topography, etc.)
- General product knowledge (ranges, functionalities, etc.)
- General knowledge of IT tools and information systems
- General knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations
