About the Role
Our client, a leading technology firm based in Mexico City , is seeking an experienced Ingeniero de Software Senior Backend to design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technology selection.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices within the team.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and industry trends.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in backend software development.
- Strong proficiency in Java and extensive experience with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security).
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Proficiency with RESTful API design and implementation.
- Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis, Memcached).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including testing, CI/CD, and version control (Git).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
