About the Role

Our client, a leading player in the Energía sector, is seeking an accomplished Especialista en Desarrollo de Proyectos de Energía Renovable to join their innovative team in Mexico City . This role is critical in identifying, evaluating, and advancing new renewable energy projects, contributing to Mexico's transition towards sustainable energy solutions. You will be involved in the entire project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and site assessments to securing permits and managing stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, etc.), project finance, regulatory frameworks, and a proven ability to navigate complex development processes. Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new opportunities for renewable energy projects across Mexico.
• Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies, including technical, economic, and environmental assessments.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines for renewable energy installations.
• Secure necessary permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals from governmental bodies.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with landowners, suppliers, and technology providers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and investors.
• Analyze market trends and regulatory changes affecting the renewable energy sector.
• Support financing efforts by preparing project documentation and presentations for potential investors.
• Oversee project development phases, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental), Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on solar or wind power.
• In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies, project finance, and market dynamics.
• Proven experience in conducting feasibility studies, site selection, and permitting processes.
• Strong understanding of Mexican energy regulations and policies.
• Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project analysis and planning.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
• Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English are required.
