Our client is seeking a highly accomplished and innovative Principal Researcher specializing in Autonomous Collaborative Robotics. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the research and development of advanced algorithms for autonomous robot navigation, perception, and manipulation.
• Design and implement sophisticated human-robot interaction strategies for collaborative tasks.
• Conduct theoretical research and experimental validation in robotics, focusing on multi-agent systems and swarm intelligence.
• Oversee the integration of AI, machine learning, and control systems within robotic platforms.
• Manage research projects from conception through to prototype development and field testing.
• Mentor and guide junior researchers and engineers, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and innovation.
• Collaborate with academic institutions and industry partners to advance the field of robotics.
• Publish research findings in top-tier scientific journals and present at international conferences.
• Secure funding through grant proposals and external research collaborations.
• Ensure the safety and ethical considerations are integrated into the design of autonomous systems.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field with a strong focus on autonomous systems and AI.
• Minimum of 10 years of post-doctoral research experience in robotics, with a significant emphasis on collaborative and autonomous systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in robot kinematics, dynamics, control theory, and motion planning.
• Proven experience in implementing and integrating AI and machine learning techniques (e.g., deep learning, reinforcement learning) for robotic applications.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python, with experience using robotics middleware like ROS.
• Experience with simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo, CoppeliaSim) and hardware platforms (e.g., UR, KUKA, Franka Emika).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional leadership and project management abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations.
• Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, in-person research team environment in Mexico City .
