Our client, a well-established mid-market private equity firm in Paris, is looking to add an Associate / Senior Associate to its investment team.
The role offers broad exposure across the full investment lifecycle, working directly with senior investment professionals on new transactions and existing portfolio companies.
Responsibilities
- Assess new investment opportunities from initial screening through execution
- Build and review LBO models, valuations, return analyses and downside scenarios
- Conduct financial, commercial and market due diligence
- Develop investment theses and prepare materials for Investment Committee
- Coordinate transaction execution with management teams, advisers, lenders and other counterparties
- Support portfolio companies on strategic initiatives, performance monitoring and value creation
- Contribute to deal sourcing, sector research and origination activities
- Take increasing ownership of transactions as experience develops
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, M&A or transaction advisory
- Direct private equity experience is strongly preferred
- Strong LBO modelling, valuation and financial analysis capabilities
- Hands‑on transaction execution and due diligence experience
- Strong commercial judgement and ability to assess investment opportunities beyond the financial model
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in French and English
- Strong academic background from a leading university or business school
