- Scrap Trader
Manager to join a leading international company within the metals recycling sector , with an established presence across European markets. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and expanding the company's business in France , identifying new commercial opportunities and building long-term relationships with key market players.
The position is aimed at a highly commercial professional with proven experience in the metals recycling industry , strong negotiation skills and an established network of contacts within the French market.
Responsibilities
- Develop and expand the company's commercial activity in the French market .
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers, customers, industrial companies and other key market players .
- Manage commercial negotiations regarding prices, volumes and contractual conditions .
- Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts within the French market.
- Analyse market trends, competitors and new business opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to increase commercial volumes and profitability .
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the correct development of commercial operations.
- Follow up on business performance, pipeline and market activity.
- Represent the company at relevant industry events, meetings and trade fairs .
- Travel regularly within France according to business requirements.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the metals recycling industry .
- Proven experience in the commercialisation and/or trading of aluminium scrap .
- Experience managing significant volumes, ideally around 1,000 tonnes/month or more of aluminium scrap .
- Strong network of contacts within the
French recycling market will be highly valued.
- Fluent
French and English .
- Strong negotiation, communication and business development skills.
- Highly commercial, proactive and autonomous profile.
- Willingness to travel regularly within France .
- Availability to visit the company's central office in Spain approximately once a month .
- Ability to work in an international environment.
