# Computer System Expert - CDE* Home* Computer System Expert - CDE* October 27, 2026* 0 Comments* By Roberte OkoyaContext: As part of maintaining the operational readiness and security of its information system, the client wishes to strengthen the administration, security, and evolution of its system infrastructure. The project covers Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments, virtualization, storage, monitoring, backups, and business continuity and disaster recovery measures.Responsibilities • Audit existing systems and produce maps and recommendations for upgrades. • Design, administer, and upgrade system architectures, servers, virtual machines, and Microsoft 365 services. • Ensure operational maintenance and maintenance of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS, and GPO services. • Administer virtualization, storage, monitoring, and infrastructure capacity. • Define, implement, and monitor backups and restores according to the 3-2-1-1-0 principle. • Develop and test disaster recovery plans, migration plans, and rollback procedures. • Handle level 3 incidents and contribute to the resolution of complex problems. • Maintain up-to-date operating procedures, architecture documentation, test plans and reports, and as-built documentation. • Ensure reversibility and knowledge transfer to the client's teams.Desired Profile • Higher education in computer science, systems, networks, or a related field. • Proven experience in the administration and architecture of critical system infrastructures. • Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, VMware/Hyper-V or equivalent, Veeam or equivalent, storage, and monitoring tools. • Skills in scripting, system security, backup, disaster recovery/business continuity planning, and complex incident management. • Good understanding of ITIL practices and the ability to produce rigorous technical and operational documentation. • Autonomy, a service-oriented mindset, analytical skills, teaching ability, and the capacity to work with the Project Manager, Network and Security experts, technicians, the IT department, software vendors, and hardware manufacturers.
