Okta Pre-Sales Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Okta Pre-Sales Consultant based in France.

This remote opportunity is ideal for an identity and access management professional who combines technical expertise with customer engagement.
You will work with customers, sales teams, and solution architects to design secure, scalable identity solutions.
The role involves supporting the sales process from technical discovery through demonstrations, proof of concepts, and solution proposals.
You’ll help enterprise organizations address complex digital identity challenges and achieve their security and business objectives.
As a trusted technical advisor, you’ll influence solution strategy and help customers understand the value of Okta technologies.
You’ll collaborate closely with delivery teams to ensure smooth transitions from pre-sales to implementation.
The position offers exposure to enterprise transformation projects and a collaborative, remote consulting environment across Europe.

Accountabilities

• Partner with sales teams to qualify opportunities and provide technical guidance throughout the sales cycle.

• Lead customer-facing technical workshops, product demonstrations, and proof of concepts across the Okta platform.

• Conduct technical discovery to understand business goals, requirements, and existing identity environments.

• Design high-level identity solution architectures tailored to customer needs.

• Support proposals, tenders, and RFP responses with technical documentation and solution design.

• Advise customers on Identity & Access Management best practices and enterprise security.

• Coordinate with delivery consultants to support seamless project handovers and implementation.

• Develop reusable demonstration environments, technical collateral, and pre-sales resources.

Requirements

• Strong experience with the Okta platform, including Workforce Identity, Customer Identity (CIAM), Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Lifecycle Management.

• Experience delivering customer demonstrations, proof of concepts, and technical discovery workshops.

• Solid understanding of Identity & Access Management concepts, enterprise security, and solution design.

• Familiarity with authentication and identity standards, including SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SCIM.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills when engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, accessible language.

• Fluent English.

• Preferred: Previous experience as a Pre-Sales Consultant, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Architect in IAM or cybersecurity.

• Preferred: Okta Professional or Consultant-level certifications.

• Nice to have: Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Ping Identity, or ForgeRock.
