About the Role

The Sales Development Representative is an inside sales role focused on outreach, prospecting, and lead qualification — with the goal of connecting with as many leads as possible to determine their fit for Hyland's solutions.

Fluent in French, this role plays a key part in driving pipeline growth and expanding Hyland's presence across French-speaking markets by identifying, engaging, and nurturing prospective customers in their native language.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.

  • Initiate discovery calls to qualified lead prospects with the assistance of the account manager — gathering information, assessing needs, educating on suitable product offerings, and determining the viability of a sale across French-speaking markets.
  • Maintain purposeful, regular contact with identified prospects through emails, phone calls, and other relevant activities in French and English to add value and drive the sale forward.
  • Generate new qualified lead prospects by developing a targeted list of customers and executing calling and email campaigns, while partnering with Field Reps and cross-functional teams to develop targeted outreach initiatives tailored to French-speaking audiences.
  • Participate in trade shows and events, making contact with potential customers at the booth and ensuring proper lead follow-up after each event — accompanying account managers to onsite customer meetings as needed.
  • Review and evaluate requests for proposals, assist prospects with drafting appropriate documentation, and facilitate transition calls with account managers when a potential customer moves from lead to genuine sales opportunity.
  • Update all internal systems on all activities and leverage a multi-tactical technology stack to maximize outreach efficiency and pipeline visibility across French-speaking regions.
  • Role Essentials
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with experience as a Sales Associate and a background in inside sales and relevant industry experience.
  • Fluency in French and English — able to speak and write with ease, clarity, and impact in both languages, using a communication style appropriate to the subject and audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport, gain the trust of others, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Sharp, fast learner with a curiosity for technology, strong business acumen, and the ability to ask probing questions to successfully obtain quality information.
  • Self-motivated with high energy, an engaging level of enthusiasm, and the ability to manage work independently to completion.
  • What We'd Like to See
  • Experience working within French-speaking markets, with a solid understanding of the regional landscape, cultural nuances, and customer expectations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office products to support day-to-day operations and communication.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with Field Reps, account managers, and cross-functional teams to develop and execute targeted campaigns for French-speaking audiences.
  • Experience leveraging a multi-tactical technology stack to drive prospecting efficiency and engagement across a variety of channels.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support trade shows, customer events, and onsite meetings across French-speaking regions.
