In this field-based role, you will be responsible for developing and growing sales across an established territory serving distributors, electrical contractors, network and public-works companies, utilities, and industrial customers.
As the primary customer contact within your territory, you will help customers identify the right solutions for their applications by combining technical expertise, consultative selling, and strong relationship management.
Reporting to the France Sales Management team, you will inherit a well-established territory with an existing portfolio of loyal customers and long-standing business relationships.
This is not a greenfield opportunity; it is a chance to build on a strong foundation while driving continued growth and market development.
The position is home-based and requires daily travel throughout South-West France, with occasional overnight stays.
As part of Emerson's Professional Tools business, you will represent industry-leading brands known for innovation, quality, and reliability.
The Klauke portfolio includes electrical connection technology, crimping tools, cutting tools, and solutions for electrical installers, panel builders, utilities, and industrial applications.
The RIDGID portfolio includes professional-grade tools and equipment serving infrastructure, utility, industrial, and construction markets.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Manage, develop, and grow sales of the Klauke (and RIDGID) product portfolio across South-West France.
- Build and strengthen relationships with distributors, electrical contractors, network and public-works companies, utilities, and industrial end users.
- Understand customer applications, operational challenges, and technical requirements to recommend the most appropriate solutions.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities while expanding an established customer base.
- Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions.
- Prepare quotations, commercial proposals, and solution recommendations tailored to customer needs.
- Negotiate commercial agreements in line with company guidelines and business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience throughout the sales cycle.
- Support customers from opportunity development through post-sales follow-up and relationship management.
- Monitor market trends, customer developments, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain accurate forecasts, activity reports, and customer information within company systems.
Who You Are
You build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
You gain the trust and confidence of customers and colleagues through honest communication and consistent follow-through.
You actively seek opportunities to gain new knowledge, skills, and experiences that improve performance.
You adapt your approach in response to changing customer needs and business priorities while maintaining focus on delivering results.
- For This Role, You Will Need
- Experience in field-based B2B sales, technical sales, application engineering, industrial sales, or a related customer-facing role.
- Ability to understand technical products and translate customer requirements into practical solutions.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- A customer-focused approach with the ability to manage priorities independently across a geographic territory.
- Interest in technology, industrial products, engineering solutions, or technical applications.
- Working proficiency in English for product training, reporting, and collaboration within a global organization.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight stays.
- Ability to work independently from a home-based office while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart
- Two to five years of successful field sales experience in a professional B2B environment.
- Experience selling industrial products, electrical equipment, professional tools, engineered solutions, or technical applications.
- Knowledge of distributor networks and contractor-focused sales channels.
- Experience conducting product demonstrations, technical presentations, or customer training.
- Educational background in engineering, technology, business, or a related field.
