About the Project
CompresserUneImage.fr is a French-language online image compression platform that helps users compress and optimize JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP and GIF images directly in their browsers.
Our goal is to grow the platform’s organic visibility in the French market, attract relevant French-speaking users, increase search traffic and establish the website as a trusted resource in the image optimization industry.
We are looking for an experienced Senior SEO Specialist who understands the French search market and can develop and execute a complete SEO growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth keyword research specifically for Google France.
- Identify high-volume, low-competition and high-intent French keywords.
- Analyze search intent and keyword difficulty.
- Discover long-tail keywords and untapped organic opportunities.
- Build keyword clusters and topical maps.
- Identify opportunities for commercial, informational and tool-based keywords.
- Understand French search behavior and competitors.
Competitor Analysis
- Analyze major competitors such as TinyPNG, Squoosh, iLoveIMG and other French-market image optimization platforms.
- Identify their ranking keywords, backlink profiles and content strategies.
- Find keyword gaps and backlink opportunities.
- Develop strategies to compete with established websites.
Technical SEO
- Perform comprehensive technical SEO audits.
- Optimize website architecture, URLs and internal linking.
- Improve Core Web Vitals and page speed.
- Identify crawling, indexing and rendering issues.
- Optimize XML sitemaps, robots.txt and canonical tags.
- Implement and validate structured data and schema markup.
- Identify JavaScript SEO issues where relevant.
On-Page SEO
- Optimize title tags, meta descriptions and heading structures.
- Improve existing landing pages and tool pages.
- Optimize content for French search intent.
- Develop effective internal linking strategies.
- Improve topical relevance and semantic SEO.
- Optimize image SEO, alt text and image filenames.
- Improve CTR through search-result optimization.
Content Strategy & Topical Authority
- Develop a complete French content strategy.
- Build topical authority around image compression, image formats, optimization and related topics.
- Identify new article and landing-page opportunities.
- Create content briefs based on French SERP analysis.
- Improve existing content and avoid keyword cannibalization.
- Develop supporting content that attracts relevant organic traffic.
- Ensure content demonstrates expertise, experience, authority and trustworthiness (E-E-A-T).
Off-Page SEO & Link Building
- Develop a sustainable backlink acquisition strategy.
- Identify relevant French websites for guest posting and link insertions.
- Build relationships with French publishers, bloggers and industry websites.
- Analyze competitors’ referring domains and backlink gaps.
- Focus on relevant, authoritative and quality backlinks.
- Monitor backlink growth and identify potentially harmful links.
SEO Performance & Reporting
- Manage Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4.
- Track keyword rankings in Google France.
- Monitor organic clicks, impressions, CTR and conversions.
- Analyze landing-page performance.
- Provide regular SEO performance reports.
- Develop actionable strategies based on data.
Advanced SEO & Future Search
- Understand modern SEO practices and Google’s evolving algorithms.
- Experience with AI Search Optimization (AEO).
- Knowledge of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
- Understand how websites can improve visibility in AI-powered search experiences.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on SEO experience.
- Proven experience ranking websites in the French market.
- Strong understanding of Google France and French search behavior.
- Excellent French keyword research skills.
- Strong technical SEO knowledge.
- Experience with content optimization and topical authority.
- Proven link-building and digital PR experience.
- Strong competitor analysis skills.
- Experience with Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console and GA4.
- Ability to develop and execute an independent SEO strategy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
