About the role
CityMed Hospital is hiring a Cryptocurrency Trader to research, execute, and manage crypto trading strategies supporting our digital-asset and payments initiatives. You’ll combine market structure knowledge with strict risk controls to deliver consistent, risk-adjusted performance.
Responsibilities
- Research, backtest, and execute crypto trading strategies (systematic and/or discretionary)
- Manage live positions across spot, perpetuals, and related instruments
- Enforce risk controls: position limits, funding/basis exposure, drawdowns, kill criteria
- Improve execution quality (slippage, fees, venue selection, liquidity timing)
- Maintain research notes, performance attribution, and clear PnL reporting
- Partner with ops/compliance on trade documentation and escalation paths
- Monitor market events and adjust exposure with documented rationale
- Continuously refine entry/exit playbooks and incident response
Requirements
- 3–7+ years in trading, prop trading, or market-making; 1+ year in crypto markets
- Strong grasp of crypto derivatives (perps/futures), funding, and basis
- Proven risk discipline under high volatility
- Ability to research and evaluate strategies with clear assumptions
- Python or similar for research/automation preferred
- Excellent written English for trade notes and leadership updates
- Ability to work async in a remote trading setup
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with OTC, options, or cross-exchange arbitrage
- Familiarity with on-chain data as a research input
- Prior work in regulated or healthcare-adjacent environments
