Role Overview

This role combines technical architecture leadership with responsibility for driving growth across North America within Avanade & Accenture Microsoft Business Group. Owns the evolution, quality and market success of Supply Chain & Engineering Advisory and the delivery of its priority solutions, with a focus on Smart Factory, including our Factory OS solution. Leads regional capability building and drives business growth in close partnership with Client Groups, Industry leadership and Microsoft.

This role can be based in Canada or the United States, within commutable distance of an Avanade office.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead the North America Supply Chain & Engineering Advisory team, including the Technical Architect community
• Drive pipeline growth, positioning and deal closure for Smart Factory offerings
• Partner with Client Groups and Industry leaders to shape growth strategy
• Strengthen ecosystem collaboration with Microsoft and Accenture Supply Chain & Engineering

Technical Architecture Leadership

• Own and evolve the technical architecture and quality standards for delivering our Supply Chain & Engineering solutions, with a special focus on Factory OS
• Drive market success and delivery excellence
• Define architecture approach across Azure, Fabric and AI agent frameworks
• Partner with Microsoft engineering teams on innovation and roadmap evolution
• Lead governance of implementations and architecture review boards
• Ensure scalable, repeatable and high-quality delivery across regions

Capability & Community Development

• Coach and develop technical talent within and beyond our team
• Build cross-regional collaboration with Data & AI, Industry and Supply Chain & Engineering communities
• Contribute to thought leadership and capability scaling

At the intersection of business transformation and Microsoft technology, we are looking for an Azure Cloud Architect who can help clients unlock value from their cloud investments.

In this role, you will lead from the front —combining deep Azure expertise , consulting mindset, and delivery excellence to design and implement enterprise-grade cloud solutions aligned with Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework (WAF).

You will work closely with clients to shape cloud strategies, define architectures, and guide engineering teams through execution—delivering measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Consulting

Partner with enterprise clients to define cloud strategy, roadmap, and transformation initiatives

Translate business needs into scalable Azure solutions aligned to Microsoft best practices

Facilitate architecture workshops, design reviews, and executive-level discussions

Architect secure, scalable, and resilient Azure platforms across IaaS, PaaS, and cloud-native services

Design Azure Landing Zones aligned with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) covering governance, security, and compliance

Guide teams on adopting modern cloud-native patterns (microservices, containers, serverless)

Microsoft Frameworks (CAF & WAF)

Ensure solutions comply with Azure Well-Architected Framework principles (security, reliability, performance, and cost optimization)

Conduct architecture assessments and optimization reviews

Implement Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) using Terraform

Build automated pipelines for continuous integration, deployment, and governance

Define enterprise-scale Azure governance models (RBAC, Policies, Management Groups)

Implement security and compliance frameworks using Microsoft-native tools

Establish monitoring, observability, and operational excellence practices

Delivery & Leadership

Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams

Ensure end-to-end solution delivery quality, scalability, and business alignment

Drive best practices, reusable assets, and accelerators

You are a seasoned cloud technologist and trusted advisor with deep expertise in Azure and DevOps practices. You are comfortable leading technical teams while engaging senior business stakeholders and executives. You bring strong consulting, communication, and leadership skills, and are adept at shaping technology strategy, defining architecture, and guiding clients through complex cloud transformation initiatives.

Our Managers lead the design and delivery of sustainable cloud and DevOps solutions, working closely with clients, architects, and delivery teams to maximise the value of Microsoft Azure. You will be responsible for shaping solution direction, providing architectural leadership, and ensuring delivery excellence across engagements.

You will operate across the full lifecycle — from pre-sales and solution shaping through architecture, implementation oversight, and operational transition — while mentoring consultants and analysts and driving best practice adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and governance of DevOps CI/CD strategies and enterprise delivery pipelines

Architect and oversee implementation of Azure cloud solutions aligned to client business and technology strategies

Define and enforce architectural standards, patterns, and DevOps practices across Azure environments

Provide technical leadership across project teams from requirements through architecture, delivery oversight, and operational handover

Design secure, scalable, and resilient Azure architectures for modern workloads

Lead technical assessments and cloud adoption strategies for customers moving to Azure

Conduct architectural and technical reviews to ensure solutions meet security, compliance, performance, and business objectives

Mentor and guide analysts and consultants in delivery and capability development

Contribute to pre-sales activities including solution shaping, estimations, proposals, and client presentations
