About The Role
We're looking for PhD-level Biochemists to help train and refine cutting-edge AI models on advanced scientific topics. Your expertise will directly shape how AI understands and reasons through complex biochemistry — from protein folding to metabolic flux analysis — making a real impact on the future of scientific AI.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed to fit around your existing schedule. No prior AI experience is required — just deep domain knowledge and a sharp analytical mind.

What You'll Do
- Design Advanced Problems — Craft challenging biochemistry problems spanning nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, enzyme kinetics, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI performance
- Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop detailed, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for high-level scientific reasoning in AI systems
- Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical proofs for accuracy, safety, and adherence to scientific standards
- Refine AI Reasoning — Identify and document logical errors in AI responses — such as incorrect stoichiometry, flawed stereochemistry, or misapplied biological principles — and provide structured feedback to improve model performance
Who You Are
- Advanced Degree — PhD (completed or in final stages) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field
- Deep Domain Knowledge — Strong expertise in one or more core areas such as structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, or bioinformatics
- Clear Technical Communicator — Able to translate complex biological and chemical concepts into precise, well-structured written explanations
- Detail-Oriented — High level of precision when reviewing chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental protocols
- No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or academic peer review
- Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST
- Background in science writing, grant writing, or technical documentation
