Aither Impact is looking for a Senior Project Manager - Nature-based Solutions Technical Lead to take technical ownership of an active and diverse Nature-based Solutions (NbS) portfolio and drive projects from feasibility through to credit issuance.
- Afforestation, Reforestation and Revegetation (ARR) projects in Africa.
- Mangrove restoration projects in Southeast Asia.
This is an opportunity to join a small, agile team, take ownership of high-impact projects and work directly with project developers, field partners, investors and carbon standards bodies.
What we're looking for
Ideally, you will bring 4-6 years of relevant experience in carbon project development, with a strong technical background in Nature-based Solutions.
In particular, you will have:
- Hands-on experience with Verra methodologies, particularly VM0047, and practical project experience applying VM0033 and/or VM0042. Experience across all three is a strong advantage.
- Proven experience developing Project Design Documents (PDDs) that have progressed through validation, including direct responsibility for addressing Validation and Verification Body (VVB) findings.
- Strong carbon modelling capabilities, including developing ex-ante carbon estimates, defining conservative baseline and project scenarios, and substantiating key assumptions.
- Working knowledge of major carbon standards and NbS methodologies, including Verra, Gold Standard, Plan Vivo and Isometric, as well as their respective project registration and validation timelines, crediting-period requirements and rules on retroactive project start dates.
- Strong project management and organisational skills: the ability to translate project concepts into structured work plans, define deliverables, coordinate internal teams and external partners, manage deadlines and provide clear progress updates against agreed targets.
- French language skills are a plus, as some of our project partners are French-speaking.
What we offer
- Fully remote position within Europe, with flexibility and autonomy.
- Direct technical ownership of a diverse, international NbS portfolio.
- The opportunity to work in a small, dynamic team where initiative and accountability matter.
- Direct exposure to carbon standards bodies, investors and on-the-ground project partners.
- The opportunity to shape projects from early-stage feasibility through to credit issuance.
